Easter 2016

I made a bunny fruit platter to take to Sharon's.
There's that dress again.  We are getting our money out of that dress.  She so pretty in it.

The rain held off for us.  Kids did a hunt and each got the same amount of in their baskets.

Spring Break Fun with the Neighbors

We had a great spring break.  We relaxed a lot and had fun with friends.  Lauren got to have 2 sleep overs one at Avery's house and Avery got to sleep at our house.  The kids played outside a little on the nicer days.  We went swimming, did an Easter egg hunt, died Easter eggs, and played and played and played.  I love my breaks!!

Kindergarten Registration

Luke is all registered for Kindergarten.  I can't believe my baby boy is going to kindergarten.  I am so ready for it but it means my kids are growing up too fast!  He did great.  I watched a couple kids cry but not my Luke he smiled and went with the teacher and did what he needed to do.

Mom's 65th Birthday

Amy and I really wanted to make mom's birthday special this year.  She didn't want a big party just a small family party with just us.  As it got closer she decided to invite her two brothers too.  Uncle Mike and Uncle Rod came and we enjoyed a really nice evening together.  Amy thought of the idea to have a theme......mom's favorite things.  She prepared a delicious meal and I planed the games and presents.  I made her a book Mom's favorite things.  Each page had a list of her favorite things and each family member was to write what they thought Mom's favorite thing was.  My favorites were Mom's favorite color Jay put white, Mom's favorite sport Lauren put does sitting outside enjoying a beautiful day count?  Moms favorite animal.....Luke put Me.  Favorite thing to do with Mom Mike said buying a vanity.  Favorite book Craig put Christian ones. Favorite food Amy and I both put cheeseburgers with everything on it.  When it came time for presents I made a jeopardy game and each item in her gift bag had to do with the answer and she had to think of the question.  She received coffee, pinochle cards, vodka, socks, nail polish, and much more.
Craig in his usual spot doing what he usually does sleep and hang with the dogs.
Nick excited to get the party started.

Mom You are Our Most Favorite thing!!!
Happy birthday.

Bachelorlette Night

So this is my guilty pleasure.  Watching the Bachelor.  It is such a trashy show but I love it.  And thankfully these girls do to.  We watch it together every week.  This was the final show of the Bachelorette and Katie showed up to my house in her wedding dress.....so I got mine out too.  I mean what better way to celebrate somebody was getting married than putting on an old wedding dress.   Mine still looks pretty good too!!  Doesn't fit though :(

School spirit

This has been a fantastic year at school!  I am loving my new grade level and loving my new principal.  I didn't even no how bad it was until someone came in that knows how to run a school the way it should be done.  I can't believe for 10 years I experienced lies, manipulation, and down right sick behavior.  I can't believe that over a year ago I was looking for jobs at state farm because I was so miserable.  Well I feel like KIMMY got her grove back.  Yes my job is hard and exhausting but I enjoy what I do and don't feel sick to my stomach like I had been punched all day.  It's so refreshing to have my passion for teaching back.
It
So this astronaut is my new boss, whom I love!!  She is easy to talk to, she has great communication skills, she has high expectations and runs a tight ship, but is incredibly supportive and kind.

And my intermediate Hallway friends.  Love them all!!
And the whole staff.  We are a tight group who love and appreciate each other.  What a great and happy place to work.
So our principal decided that we needed to be very prepared for the parcc test and take it very seriously.   So we did.  We got the student's all PUMPED up for PARCC.  The primary hallway blew it out of the water though.  There decorated the hallway with every students name on a star, had all kinds of posters about reaching for the stars, or you are out of this world covering the walls.  They even put all of our teacher's faces on the rocket.  Each planet was planet ________ (the teacher's name).  It was so cool.  Then the intermediate teachers did a skit (that I wrote) and the did a dance to Up Town Funk You Up.  It was pretty good.  Really silly, but the students loved it.

Lauren's Program

Lauren did such a nice job at her 2nd grade performance.  She had a part where she came out on stage and threw a ball back and forth with a boy.  The song was a beach rap.  She was dressed to the nines. She wanted to wear her fancy white expensive dress.  I said, "Lauren that is too fancy...you will be over dress".  She insisted on wearing it!!  As we were walking across the parking lot to go into the school a woman waiting to pick up a student rolled her car window down and told her she looked beautiful and what a pretty dress she had on.  She smiled sweetly and said thank you and then pulled on my arm and said "SEE MOM that's why I wanted to wear this dress!

Mindy gave her a bunny for doing so well.  She named it Bubbles!  It's so soft.
As always Lauren's grands got to come see her!!

Day in the country

I took Chantelle and girls out to Amy's on a beautiful February afternoon.  We did some four-wheeling and they tromped through the woods with their mud boots on.  Then we stopped at the winery on the way home.

Once home they were pretty wore out so we had some movie time.
