Mother's day

Lauren and I went to a mother's day brunch the weekend prior to mother's day.  It was so delightful.  Lauren was a perfect angel and I enjoyed spending time with her.  My friend Katie invited us and it was at her church.  It was a sweet little program.

Mother's day church, Schooners, and then planting flowers.  It was great day.  I am so grateful for my own mom and I love being a mom!

Nick's Birthday

Nick is 9.  Wow I can't believe my little blond hair-blue eyed boy is already 9.  We went out to Amy's for dinner.  Mom got this tractor thing for Nick.  Luke and Nick played with it all night.

Easter

Look at these cutie pies.  I love Easter Sunday when I get to dress up my kids in their Sunday Best!  Lauren is always delighted to wear a fancy dress.  We always have fun doing her hair in curls and picking out our shoes.  Luke doesn't mind wearing the fancy cloths but does not like the top button buttoned...."it too tight!!"   He has a tie on but barely!

Daddy's boy

Luke is at that age when he worships his daddy. He is stuck to him like glue.  He wants to be just like him.  If daddy has shoes on Lukie has shoes on.  If daddy has a belt on Luke wants one on.  He loves doing "man stuff"  with daddy.  He is daddy's little cuddle bug.  He will sometimes climb up on him like this and fall asleep.  He drinks "man juice" with daddy (lemonade).

signing up for summer activities

We have decided to sign the kids up for taekwando and gymnastics.  Lauren spends most of her time cartwheeling around the house and yard and is super excited to start.  Luke likes to hit stuff so I hope he likes it.

Sleep over

Lauren is always wanting a sleep over.  This night Shiyah and Jada stayed.  It was a pretty fun night and they didn't stay up too late!

Lauren's school program

Lauren's school program was folk songs around the world.  She was right in the front row which always makes Mommy happy.  Our neighbor girls both had a speaking parts.

Girl'sWeekend

4 of my teacher friends and  went to the Ozarks for the weekend.  It was so much fun.  We shopped, drank, ate, and slept!  I was in heaven!!  These girls are so much fun.

Baby time

Brooke came home in April for her birthday so we had everybody over to play.  My kids really enjoyed seeing Case.  He is such a happy little guy.

Sandbox

Poppy built this sandbox for us and boy do we get a lot of use out of it.  Both kids love playing in it.  And most of the time they are all getting along and playing nice.

Fun times in the neighborhood

We just love our new neighborhood.  Kids everywhere!  Now that it's so nice out it is hard to get the kids inside.  We love getting together.  The kids play, jump, ride bikes.

Luke at school

Luke started speech class in January and is loving it.  Everyday he asks am I going to my new school?  The first picture is silly sock day.  Then snake day, then swimming day, and sun glasses day.  He really needs to work on his "S" sound and is doing such a great job.

He likes Calvary too.  He brought Mrs. Albee some flowers for teacher appreciation day.  He is doing so well at school.  I am so proud of him.

Field trip to safety town.  The police man came to talk to them and let him get in to the police car.  Which he thought was pretty cool.

Easter Sunday

We went with mom to her church.  Great Grandma and Great Grandpa joined us.  Then back to my house for Brunch.  Then on to mom's for the Easter egg hunt.   I got all the kids remote control cars. Nick liked his most of all.
