Nick and Lauren...not best buds but improving

Nick has always struggled with liking Lauren but he is doing a lot better lately. He is saying "Woren don't touch that" a lot less and "Here Woren you can have this" a little more. They actually enjoyed a moment laughing and playing the other night in the bath tub.

I have so enjoyed watching Lauren and Jays relationship grow. Jay is so sweet and good to her. Her little protector. He is patient and plays with her and helps her. And Lauren thinks Jay is the best ever. She actually screams with excitement when she sees him. I hope they will always be this close.

Happy Father's Day

This is a little late but I have been a little behind in my blogging. Better late then never.
We had a cookout and pool party last Saturday for Father's day and then Sunday morning we went out for breakfast with Craig's family. Lauren is so lucky to have such a great dad. She is a daddy's girl's and Craig is so good with her and patient. I love watching them together. We thought it would be cute to do a 3 generation picture with Lauren, Craig and his dad. So we had Lauren sit on Craig's lap and Craig sit on Glenn's lap. Lauren is twice as lucky because not only does she have the best dad in the world she's got a really great grandpa (poppy).

wow how time flies!!

Fun on the farm. I am blessed to have very wonderful in-laws who live just outside of bloomington on a farm. Lauren loves playing outside. The bridge she is walking over my father-in-law built. She has lots of toys and lots of fun at grandma and papa's house.

Lauren is now 18 months old and so much fun. She talks all the time. Her favorite word is probably daddy but she is saying mommy all the time now too. She probably says over 50 words. She likes to talk just like her mama. Her favorite food is pizza and her favorite toy is elmo.

I can't beleive it has been a year. These are pictures of her last June. She is still my sun loving

Lauren's first hair cut

We didn't get much cut off....just a trim. She did great. We went through two bags of fruit snacks and a sucker. She sat still and I think she even liked it. It doesn't look any different we just cleaned her up.

Slip and slid

Now that I have a child of my own I feel like I am reliving my childhood...who doesn't love the slip and slide! Lauren and I went on a bike ride and when we returned the neighborhood kids were out on the slip and slide. Lauren could barely contain herself...I couldn't get her out of her bike seat fast enough. I striped her down right there in the middle of the street so she could go and play with the big kids. Ahhh the joys of childhood!
