Key Lime Cove

My friend Steph and I decided to take our girls on a little mini girl trip over spring break to Key Lime Cove water park in Gurnee.  We had a blast.  The slides, wave pool, and all the water stuff was so fun.  There was an awesome arcade.  We spent like $20 plus dollars the buy those beautiful paper fans that are now ripped and in the garbage.  And we got to do a build a bear...or should I say unicorn named princess sparkle!  We even made a late night trip to the trading post to get some goodies.

OH LUKE....YOU MAKE ME LAUGH

This was taken on New Years.....  Seriously Luke!!
Here he goes on the treadmill.  I find my Lukie to be so funny but incredible exhausting!!
Thank goodness he sleeps!  He really doesn't believe in wearing clothes
When we first started potty training he insisted on peeing this way....the babysitter didn't like this too much.
Luke has a mind of his own but he does look up to sissy...had to wear her silky pony jammies this night.

Oh Lordy....this boy keeps me on my toes!

Home Sweet Home

Early January we decided to put our house on the market.  It was a process getting it ready, replacing all 3 closet doors in our bedroom, all new carpet upstairs, all new trim throughout, newly remodeled bathroom, and then there was the decluttering part!  I got rid of soooooo much stuff.  I sold a lot and  sent a lot to good will.  It took about 4-5 weeks of really hard work.  And we were still working full time and our 2 little ones were under our feet the whole time.  Once we decided to sell we were also looking at houses.  Which at first was fun but with a 3 year old and a 6 year old it was not so much fun especially the time Luke pooped his pants at an open house.  It dripped down his pant leg and onto the white carpet....we got out of there quick and no we did not buy that one!   Oh and I did clean it up first we are classy we don't just dump and ditch!! And the time we went to a showing and both kids were playing in the bathtub of an occupied house...I know they usually clean up before showing but still gross.  But even grosser one house we went through had a little girl about Lauren's age.  The reason I know this is because Lauren went into her closet and held up some dirty barbie underwear and said "look mom I have these same ones".  We tried to line several up on a Saturday or and evening and get babysitters.  We had a babysitter the night we found the house we bought!  I won't go into all the politics of selling and buying a house or the house that we almost bought and fell through or the buyer of our house yanking us back and forth or the sale almost falling through at the closing because I really just want to block it all out.  It was a horrible experience from start to finish.  It was a very stressful time in our lives and I don't ever want to do it again.  Now that being said I am so happy we did it.  I love our new house.  We have been here a month and I am enjoying a stress-free summer.  I mean the kids are kind of stressful but ya have that!

Girls weekend

Back in April Mom, Amy, and I had the pleasure of meeting our childhood buddies at starved rock for a fantastic girls weekend.  We laughed, and laugh, and drank, and drank, and ate, and ate, made fun of our mom's, and laughed some more.  It was a blast.  I feel very blessed to have people in my life like these ladies.  We may only see each other once a year but we don't skip a beat.

Ahhh look how cute we are!!  Tracy and I have the same awesome hair cut!!
