My cousin Nick

Nick never ceases to amaze me. One minute he is a little meany and the next minute he is doing something like this.....he cracks me up. Love ya buddy and your kisses too!!

Such sweeties...they look like pretty good buds...but really they are just doing this for a fruit snack.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Lauren did not like the Easter Bunny. She started screaming as soon as she saw him. She clung to me and cried and pushed the Easter bunny away.

We got to eat Breakfast too. Mimi, Maymay, and Nick were all there.

I love my eggies....but they have to have ketchup on them.

Lauren's Easter dress

There's nothing cuter that a little girl in her cute little dress with her white ruffle socks. Lauren loves getting dressed up. she says "I'm so pretty". We are getting ready to go have breakfast with the Easter Bunny. I asked her if she wants to go see the Easter Bunny and she says "no Easter Bunny" I had to bribe her with fruit snacks to get all these pictures.

St Patty's Day

Lauren woke up a little on the cranky side. But check out those green high heels....and they only cost me $1.

Still up set.

All better now....all she wanted was for mommy to hold her.

From pig tails to pony tail

Lauren's first pony tail. March 2010. A little over 2 year old
Laurens' first time wearing pig tails. March 2009. A little over 1 year old.
I love doing my little girl's hair. She sits nicely and I hope she will let me do it for many years to come!!

Lauren's First Swim Lesson

Lauren just turned 2 in December so I wasn't sure about what to do for swim lessons. I knew I didn't want a parent tot class because she is so good in the water and just wants to swim around and not be held, but there are very few places that will take a 2 year old in a lesson. Happy Splashes does and the rate was very reasonable. So here she is on her first day of swim lessons with coach Rob. I was so afraid that she wouldn't go with him or she would want me or she wouldn't listen, or she'd throw a fit......all those things that 2 year old are capable of doing....AND SHE DIDN'T.

I have never been so proud....I mean I am always proud of my child but it just makes my heart smile that she is so good in the water and she loves it so much. She was listening. She was moving her arms, kicking, blowing bubbles, and holding on to the wall. It was so cool watching her be so independent.

The only problem was when it was time to get out. She said "no I want to swim". I said "The lesson is over we will come back in a couple days". She says "no, I get in".....as she tries to get back in. I say "no time to go" She cries and I get her to the locker room as fast as I can. When I got her to the locker room to get dressed. She said "I want to do that again...I like it"

Poppy's craddle

I don't think this is what Poppy had in mind when he made this craddle....but I am sure it makes him smile to see his grandaughter enjoying it. I said "are you ready to get out"...She said "no...weeeee" and of course she has to have every blanket and animal she can find.

I said "did you know your Poppy built this for you" she said "Yeahhhh Poppy weeeee"

TV

We have started a bad habit of watching too much TV....I feel like such a bad parent. She loves it. I usually try to choose something educational. But the truth is I like it because it gives me a little break. Lauen's new favorite show it Curious George. When she is into a show she pretty much looks like she does in this picture and video. Craig's favorite thing to do is get into an arguement of who gets to watch what. Craig will say "basketball" she will say "strawberry cupcake (she can't say shortcake). He will say basketball, she will say "strawberry cupcake" and they keep going and going and they get louder and louder....Lauren always wins!!

Happy Birthday Nana

My mom turned 59 today....she doesn't look a day over 50. We had a nice family dinner out at my sister on Saturday night to celebrate. We got her a gift card for the spa. She is going to Pena to the spa over spring break with her girl friends. What a nice way to celebrate a birthday family dinner, fun with friends, and some stranger massaging your body....sounds perfect to me!!
It was nice that Nana got to celebrate her birthday with her 3 favorite people. This was the best picture we could get and we took about 20.

Lauren has been singing happy birthday all day but I know that when I pick up the phone to have her do it for Nana...she won't.
Happy Birthday Nana!!!!! and many more

Lauren and Ava BFF

Lauren and Ava are pretty good buds. Lauren talks about Ava all the time. Most of her babies are named Ava and she like to bless Ava at night when we say our prayers. If we hear a baby crying at the store she says "Ava crying?" Lauren is a little mother hen to Ava and so far Ava seems to enjoy the nice mothering.....let's hope it lasts!

This was right before Ava started screaming....I think Lauren might have tried to wash her hair.
