Uncle Don

Our good friend Don is in town!!  He's been here for about two weeks.  We love it when he comes to hang out with us.  He was here over Spring Break so he came with us to open gym and celebrated Easter with us.  Lauren didn't have school on Monday but I did so Lauren got to send the day with Donny Boy!  They had a ball.  They went to Peoria to the musuem and did lots of other stuff.  He took pictures all along the way and then made a book of their very special day together.  It was super cute.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday consisted of Church and then Lunch at Mindy's house.  She had them hunt for eggs in the basement.  Once Luke had about 4 eggs he didn't care about getting anymore.  He just wanted to open them and eat the candy.  Lauren loves finding all the eggs as fast as she can.  Some were even hard to find.  We took some pictures in the yard before church.  It was pretty hard to get Luke to cooperate but we got a few good ones.

Daddy's Boy

Luke thinks Craig is pretty awesome.  He thinks he is so great that he can't even be away from him when Craig is showering.  This first picture is what happens every time Craig is taking a shower.....Peek, there's Luke.
Craig likes to play the game kissy mosquito.  He makes a mosquito noise and tries to kiss him.  Luke thinks it's funny but doesn't really like it so he says "nono dada"  but then he puts his fists by his face and then starts making his own mosquito noise back at him.  It's pretty cute.  The second picture is of Craig trying to kiss Luke.  The last one is Luke being done with pictures.  Another thing Luke does is when I tell him it's bedtime he runs to daddy and cuddles against him.

Easter at Mom's

Lauren is in the Q and U Wedding at school and she is the Letter Girl.  There were only 5 students who got parts so I just had to go out and get her a new dress.  We went to Vonmour, just the two of us, and she picked out several dresses to try on.  It was the most precious thing I have ever done in my live.  She went in the dressing room by herself and modeled every dress for me.  This is the one we picked.  So of course I had to get Lukie a blue and pink tie to match.
Playing their favorite game....ride the Lauren horse.

I had a really hard time getting a cute picture of Luke because he kept running away from me and giggling.
As soon as he got to my mom's he wanted to crawl right up into the chair with Nick.  Nick really wanted to do bunny ears because it was Easter.  I tried to get one without bunny ears but he insisted he had to do bunny ears because it was Easter.

We tried to get a decent picture and this is it.  Good enough right!
Easter egg hunting was a good time.  Mom always tells the kids to get a certain color egg.  It was cute because then they helped each other out instead of having a free-for-all.

Jay is getting so grown up it makes me sad.  Nana couldn't get the jar of olives open and neither could I so Jay said  "Give it here", he opened it with one twist.  And he doesn't think I'm cool anymore :(

Bunny's Birthday at the zoo

A few Saturday's ago the Kids and I went to the zoo because they were having a birthday party for the bunny.  When we got there the party hadn't started so we went to the Zoology lab first.  We walked in and I took Luke out of his stroller and he freaked out because of the meerkats.  He is afraid of anything that moves that is furry.  I kept saying "look they're behind glass".  He just clung to me.  Thankfully he had some time to warm up to the idea before he saw the bunnies.  He was so excited when he saw them.  The Pantagraph was there and his picture ended up being in the paper.  It was a chilly day but a perfect day for the zoo.  The kids really had a good time.

Lauren loved watching and petting the bunnies.  Lukie finally did pet one when the zoo helper was holding it, but he touched it briefly and pulled his hand away quickly.
I kind of want to freeze them in time.  They are so sweet with one another and love each other so much.  I wish I had video taped Luke because his expressions and excitement were priceless.

Little Miss Avery

Over Spring Break my good Friend Amy and her little girl Avery came to visit us.  Avery is 19 months old and cute as a button!!  We had so much fun together.  Lauren loves being a little mother hen so she stuck to Avery like glue.  Avery thought Lauren was pretty awesome too.  We went to the mall play area and Avanti's (we really know how to live it up).  Then went home to play in the bath tub with bath paints.  They had so much fun and were so wore out we put them to bed at 6:30 so Amy and I could have some much needed "Mommy Time".  Can't wait to do it again soon!
