Touch a truck day

We went to visit my friend Lindsay, who lives in Lockport, and every year her town hosts a fun day for kids called Touch a Truck Day.  They had all kinds of trucks and vehicle the kids could climb on and drive.  We had a great day.  The weather was beautiful, the kids were good, and it was great spending time with Lindsay.  I took Lauren and Nick with me.  I left Luke at home with aunt Mindy.

pool days are here!!!!

So we are off to a good start.  We have been to the pool about 3 times.  The weather has been beautiful.  The kids love the water and are having so much fun.  Luke is getting better each time.  He spends a lot of time under water.  But doesn't seem to care.  They both do really well in the big pool with their puddle jumpers.

ballet

Lauren's first ballet class.  She was so excited and did a great job.  A little girl in all pink wearing ballet slippers dancing around a room with a wand is about the cutest thing I have ever seen!!

Luke 15 months

All I can say about Luke right now is  WOW....HE IS ALL BOY.  He runs everywhere and destroys everything in it's path.  If I tell him not to do something he does it!  And he loves to throw things.  One thing I will say about Lukie is he is always happy.  Except when he is getting teeth.  When we are out and about or just playing he is always smiling.  He is talking a lot now too.  His favorite words:  Mama, Dada, Lauren, Nana, Papa, No No, ball.  When he is upset with someone he will shake his finger at them and say nooo noooo.  He also likes to say broooom broooom for anything that drives.  He is still my good eater.  Loves his berries.  The first picture is taken and my friend Katie's house.  He was obsessed with this little scarecrow.....guess it's not so scary after all.

He loves the trampoline.  Usually he will come close to where I am standing and when I try to grab him he runs away.
He is so good natured when Lauren tries to dress him up.
He loves the water.  He is good at blowing bubbles and splashing.

He really enjoyed the splash park too.

Lauren 4 and 1/2

Lauren is now 4 and 1/2 (as she likes to say).  She is sassy and sweet all at the same time.  One minute she is as nice as nice can be and the next she is nasty as nasty can be.  She loves to hug and kiss us and cuddle.  She likes to pretend play a lot.  I have to be the dad and use my daddy voice and she gets to be the mom.  She takes good care of her dolls and she usually does just about anything I ask her too.  But when she is sassy and doesn't like what we have to say she will say things like "stop it" or "I don't like you" or "You're mean"  or "You are not my friend".  She is a pretty good eater.  Her favorite food is cheese sticks, fruit, and eggs.  She likes to wear a skirt everyday and only likes to wear her hair in a headband or ponytail.  She can write her name really well and knows all her letters and sounds.  She is pretty much all the way potty trained....finally!!!
So far our summer is off to a good start.  Lauren and Luke seem to be getting along pretty good.  Lauren, most of the time, is really good and helpful with her brother. In these pictures she is telling him a secret and tickling him.

We start our first dance class tonight!!  Hope we like it......if not that's ok we still look really cute!  She is very excited about it.  But wants to know if Mrs. Barth will be her teacher.
