Jay's football game

Jay's second season of football.  I love watching them play.  Jay is the wide receiver so you can see him in these pictures tackling.  He usually plays the whole game.

Here was one of his best tackles of the game.  They were playing Eureka.

Our little soccer player

Nick started playing soccer this fall.  He seems to really like it.  He had to bring his penguin with him to watch the game.  Nick does pretty good when he is kicking the ball in the right direction.

Nick and Luke's overnight adventure

Several Friday's ago Nick spent the night and it was so cute because he and Luke played together a lot.  Nick was so proud of himself when he could get Luke to stop crying by playing him the piano.  They were buds all night!!

My happy little guy

He's happy in this picture because he has resently found his favorite toy.
He loves bath time.  It is so nice that he is sitting up now.

He is most happy when he is eating.  He has cherry pie and whipped cream on his face.
Our little monkey.  This was going to be his halloween costume until I found a little bo peep costume for Lauren and a sheep costume for Luke.  It will be super cute.

I just love this age.  I feel like he always has his mouth open smiling and giggling.  He is always this happy!!
He is even happy to help with laundry.  I dumped all the laundry on him and he just giggled then started eating Lauren's underwear.

Labor Day

We had a great Labor day.  We went to Nana's house and then to the parade.  Luke slept most of the time and cried a little when the loud fire truck went by.  Lauren loved it.  My friend steph and her daughter Joli were in the parade so Lauren didn't understand why she wasn't in it.  When we got home later that same day she was riding her bike and she was pretending to throw candy and people.  My grandparents were here for the day too.  It was nice to see them.  They enjoyed watching the kids.

first day of school

Lauren, all ready for her first day of school.  Aug 18, 2011, K3 at Calvery Christian Academy.

She was so excited to go to school and loved wearing her fancy dress.

It was mommy's first day of school too.  Which is hard because I didn't get to take her into school on her first day because I had a group of my own students who wanted to meet their teacher.

Here is daddy and Lukie on our first day of school.  He has adjusted well to daycare.  The hardest part for me about working and sending him to daycare is he is always happiest in the morning and I don't like to miss that.
Here she is in front of her school.  She is so ready to be going to school.  Such a big girl.

She held daddy's hand in the parking lot but once she got in the building she wanted to walk by herself down the hall to her classroom.

There is her locker.  She was able to find the one with her name on it.

There she is at her table all ready to learn.  She told the teacher right away that she was going to use the brown crayon to color the teddy bear.  Didn't Craig do a great job capturing the moment for me!!

So far we have been in school for a couple of weeks and I am amazed at how much she loves school and how much she is learning.  Everyday she comes home and sings or recites a new song or poem.  She knows all her friends names and talks abouth them all the time.  She had memorized her bible verses too.  And loves her teacher too.  She likes to take a cold lunch everyday.

Getting ready for school

The day before school started we had open house at Lauren's school.  We got to go see her classroom and meet her teacher.  She did great. Mommy was nervous about her adjusting to being at school all day, everyday, when she was used to a home daycare enviroment but mommy had nothing to be nervous about she is so ready to be at school.
She thought having her own locker was pretty cool.

Mrs. Barth, her teacher.

6 months

Wow I can't believe my baby boy is 6 months old.  I love, love, love this stage.  He has such a cute sweet personality and is more active and fun.  But still sits still and loves to cuddle.  Once he starts moving he won't want to just sit and cuddle with me so I am trying to soak it all up.  He is such a good baby.  Smiles all the time and talks a little.  His favorite thing to do is probably eat.  He eats all the time and will eat anything.  If I don't feed him fast enough he starts to cry.
Luke loves bath time.  He's all around a happy baby so he likes just about everything and is easy going, just like his daddy.
He is 25 inches long (10%), He is 16 lbs (25%), and his head Circ.  is 15 inch (3%).  He is wearing 6-9 month clothes.
He can sit up and is pretty steady but still falls over if he gets overly excited.  He loves his jumperoo and playing on the floor with his sister and his school bus.
He is starting to talk a lot but he doesn't really cooo it's more of a grunt.   When he and Lauren are in the car together you can hear her talking to him about her day and you can hear him grunting back at her.  It is so cute.
He can roll over now but he doesn't do it very often.  I think he's kind of lazy.  He would rather just lay there and smile instead of roll.  Ha ha.
He is happiest sitting up now.  When we are cuddling or rocking and he hears daddy come home he pops up and starts looking for him.  It is really cute.
He always wants to reach for his feet now.  It's really cute but makes it hard for me when I change his diaper.
He loves to play peek-a-boo now and is always grabbing stuff.  He will cry if he is left in a room by himself.  I am back to work now and it has been rough.  He is getting up again several times a night.  I think he might be getting teeth or it might be separation anxiety.
He is just a big sweetie.  I want to freeze him in time right now.  I enjoy every second I spend with him.

Love, love, love this cutie pie!!
