mother's day cupcakes

I decided to start a new tradition with Lauren for mother's day.....to bake pink cupcakes. We had so much fun decorating our pretty pink cupcakes.

3 months old

On May 9th Luke was 3 months old. He is still fighting these ear infections and is not the best sleeper but still is very cuddly and loves to be held. Everyday he smiles and coo's a little more. It is so sweet. I love all his rolls and chubby face now. He is probably about 12 lbs.

12 weeks

Lukie is 12 weeks old and on his 2nd ear infection. His sleeping habits and alert times are still not very consistent. He always goes to bed between 8 and 9 and will get up at 1 or 2 to eat and then get up at 4 or 5 again to eat. He will go back to sleep and sleep until 7 or 8. He is always alert in the evening. He eats about 7, 4 ounce bottles a day but he is nursing now so I will sometime nurse 2-4 times a day and then he may eat less of his bottle. He has started smiling and cooing. I love all the little noises he makes. He is really strong he holds his head up and likes to stand up on his legs. He loves to lay on his back on the floor and kick his feet and move his arms. Sometimes he gets his arms going and it looks like he's a boxer. He is a layed back little guy. He is pretty content just hanging with mommy or daddy. He does really well in the car....sleeps most of the time. He fusses a little but mostly when he is hungry, dirty, tired or just wants to be held. He's a little high maintenance. I am so enjoying him but wish he would sleep a little longer. He is so cuddly and even though having 2 is hard I couldn't imagine my life without him. I Love you sweet boy!!

Lauren's baby picture on top. Luke is on the bottom. Every once in a while I will think to myself...he is starting to change and not look so much like Lauren...then I dig out a baby picture of Lauren.

I hope they will always love each other this much!!! One can only dream. They are so sweet together and Lauren is so good with Luke. Notice her cool butterfly face. She loves getting her face painted!!

And every time we get on the floor to play Lauren is the first one there to put his ring toys on him like bracelets. Poor Lukie is going to be so girly.

Every morning she has to come in and climb up on his crib and talk to him. It is so cute.

Another bathtub picture. I was worried about bathing them together but she does really well with him and he loves his bath so they get to take a bath together every night.

A Daddy Pedi

Yes, thats Craig doing Lauren's nails. He does a pretty good job. For weeks and weeks Craig and I kept complaining about how bad her toe nails were getting but every time we tried to cut them she would scream and kick. Well we finally talked her into cutting them and painting them....but only if daddy did it!! So Daddy did it.
