Lauren's new room

As you know from my last blog Lauren moved into a new room and into a toddler bed. Well that lasted about 2 weeks and she was climbing out of the bed and getting stuck in the bed rail. I couldn't deal with Lauren or my husband...because god forbid we just shut the door and let her cry. So I just put her in the pack and play. That seems to be working well so when she is ready for the big bed she will go there until then the pack and play is her bed...sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.

cousins

3 very different children but each special in their own way. Jay and Nick are both down and dirty, rough and tumble boys. Jay is inquisitive, mature, and most of the time very loving. Nick is funny, entertaining, sweet, and full of energy (and can sometimes be described and demanding, disruptive and very loud....but we love him). Lauren loves being with the boys and watching them. She takes in all their actions and energy. She is calm and caring... Iknow someday it will not be this way...which is why I am enjoying every minute. Lauren loves her cousins and loves spending time with them... we are so lucky they live so close.

football

Jay is playing football. He had his first game on Saturday. It was fun. He is growing into such a handsome and energetic young boy. He makes me proud.

Lauren' big girl bed

Lauren was starting to climb so we decided to move her in to the pink room and put her in a big girl bed. She loves her new room and is doing really well.

Some fun videos

I haven't blogged in a while. I found some cute videos that I haven't posted yet. Lately Lauren has been so cute and funny...I love this age. She loves talking, cuddling, making animal noises, playing with toys, wearing mommy's shoes and eating. I love watching her play she has a pretty good attention span for her age. Her little voice cracks me up too. You can understand most of what she says and she pretty much says anything (including damn it that was her new one this week...not sure if she got that from mommy or daddy...we are both guilty) She is 21 months old now and pretty independent. She adjusted well to me going back to work....a lot better than mommy did. This working mom thing is hard work. But Lauren makes it pretty enjoyable. She is so good natured and a really good little girl.
