Lauren's sleep habits

Lauren, lately, has been a pretty good sleeper. She will occasionally wake up and need one of us to come and lay with her for a little while, but most nights she goes to bed at 8 and wakes up around 7. On the weekends we can put her to bed later and she will sometimes sleep until 8 or 8:30. This picture is my favorite because she is sleeping spread eagle sideways on her bed laying on top of about 4 different blankets.

This picture is pretty typical. Whenever daddy puts her to bed he doesn't have the heart to walk out of the room and let her cry for the 2 seconds that she does cry. So daddy stays with her until she falls asleep which usually means he falls asleep too....this is why a majority of the time I put her to bed (haha)

This picture cracks me up because at bed time now I will let her play with a doll or something before she goes to sleep. Lately it has been her baby doll...which she must have a bottle so she can feed her baby doll or she will demand I get one. Or she wants to go to bed with her groovy girls car and dolls and of course she must have two dolls because there are two seats in car.

Nikhil

This is my dear friend Janel's little boy Nikhil. She and I have been friends for over a
decade. He is almost 9 months old and cute as a button. Janel lives in Texas now and I miss her dealy but thankfully she can come back to visit several times a year, so she was able to stay overnight with us on Friday night.

I know his daddy loves this picture of him driving the pink car!!!

He had so much fun at Aunt Kimmy's house! We wore him out.

Lauren's eating habits

Lauren may just be shy of about 25 lbs but she eats like a pig. She loves eating any kind of pasta and she just shovels it in.

She eats her bread from the inside out.

The other night she helped me eat this entire bowl of salad with ranch dressing

Her favorite food....powdere sugar donuts. She loves them.

v-day

One Valentine's day. We had family over for dinner...but first we had to give our big white teddy bear a big hug. This is Lauren's typical cheese face.

All the kidos having dinner. After dinner they played and played. Until they dropped.

My sleepy little Valentine. All sugared up and sound asleep.

Does it get any sweeter than this!!!!

My cutie pie

Lauren is at such a cute age. She is a 2 going on 20!! She loves her high heel shoes and carrying a purse. She is really into putting her own shoes on and if I try to help her she gets very upset with me and says..."No mommy, I do it". She is very independent she wants to do everything by herself and does not want help. She gets very frustrated when she can't do something.

Look at that sweet grin. What a cutie pie. The best thing about the stage Lauren is at now is probably all the talking she does. She is really into Curious George right now and loves reading books. She still loves strawberry cupcake. She loves her baby dolls and she is definitely a daddy's girl.
Lauren's shorty robe. This is her baby robe that she wore when she was 6 months old. She still loves it and likes to wear it after her bath. Every night when it is time for her bath I say "guess what time it is Lauren?" then she says, in her little high pitched excited voice "bath time"!!
Then when she is cold she will say "brr cold" or if it's cold outside she will say "brr cold outside". Lauren's new thing now is fake sleeping. She loves to pretend that she is asleep. Or she loves if we pretend to be asleep. She says "shhh daddy is sleeping". Some other things she says right now that are cute: "Pinger" (finger), "I pall down" (I fall down). "prench pries" (french fries). She loves to count things she says "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 2,

Visiting Baby Ryan

A couple weeks ago Lauren and I went to visit my friend Lindsay in Lockport. She has a little boy, Ryan, who just turned a year old in November. We had so much fun. The kids played so nice and had so much fun.
They rode around in this car together for quite a while.

Ryan isn't quite walking yet...but he did take several steps that day trying to keep up with Lauren.

Ever since we got home Lauren has named her purple Madam Alexander doll "baby Ryan"

cub scouts pine wood derby race

This is Jay getting ready to win his 3rd pine wood derby race.
This is Lauren saying "cheese". She did pretty good watching her cousin...most of the time she just wanted to run around the bleachers.

This is my handsome little cub scout. He is so grown up. He was very excited because his second grade teacher came to watch him race. His car was so cool.

This is my sweet little Nick. He was happy just running around the bleachers too. He does a good job of trying to keep up with the big boys.
