Swimming Lessons

Well Lauren is definitely not the swimmer I was at her age but she's coming along.  She is getting better each week.

Halloween

Luke was afraid of the pumpkins we carved.  Lauren wanted her pumpkin to have eye lashes.  But yet when it came time to get the guts out no one would help me.

At Lauren's school they do scarecrow day.  She let me put braids in her hair.  Doesn't she make a cute scarecrow.

Luke the airplane.  He loves airplanes right now.  We went to see the new movie airplanes about Dusty the crop duster.  He loved it.  I got this costume at a garage sale.  Love love my little "hairpane" as Luke would say.

Ava and Dean came to trick or treat with us.  This was the best shot we could get.
Luke loved collecting the candy and was great at saying trick or treat and thank you.  His airplane only stayed on for the first 3 houses.  Then he wanted it off.
Lauren is a Barbie Princess.  Got her dress at a garage sale too.

Luke loved all his candy especially the suckers.  He's eating 2 at a time.

Pumpkin Time

I just had to post these picture just to give you all a good laugh.  I am having the hardest time getting decent pictures of my kids.  Lauren likes to pose but doesn't realize her poses are, well a little awkward.

And Luke just won't look at the camera.

Our newest addition

We got a dog....Peanut.  He's a chug (Chihuahua and pug mix).  A friend of Craig's from work was having some issues with her older dog and needed to find a home for Peanut.  He will be two in December.  He's a sweet dog.  Lauren really likes him.

Craig's 40th Birthday

I threw Craig a very low key party and the Western Tap.  A few close friends were there.  We had a great time.

I made him wear a cowboy hat and a 6 shooter.  This is my friend Stephanie putting it on.  He humored me for about 5 minutes then took it off.  Luke now loves playing with it.  Happy Birthday Baby.  Hope we can have this much fun in 40 more years!!

Lauren's 1st day of Kindergarten

She is still at the same school she was for K3 and K4 (Calvary). The first 2 pictures are of her at meet the teacher day.  The last two are of the 1st day.  She has a fantastic teacher this year.  She's excited and I can't wait to see how much she learns and grows this year.

Golfing

So it turns out that my kids love golf.  Especially Lauren...she says "it's her thing".  I plan to get both kids into golf lessons next summer.  She's actually pretty good.  Her and daddy go on golf dates.  Daddy always gets her soda and snack and lets her help drive the golf cart.

Blueberry Picking

A beautiful July morning Mom, Nick, the kids and I went to a farm about an hour away to pick blueberries.  We had so much fun and the weather was perfect.  We took a hay rack ride out to the patch.  Lauren and Nick did a great job of picking.  Nick found all the big fat juicy ones, Lauren found all the little tiny baby ones.  I just kept picking as many as I could because every time I put a handful in Luke took a handful out.  He was so full of blueberries his poop was blue for days!!

The big boy bed!!

We spend a late Friday night paining and getting his room ready.  He loved his new bed.  He had a great first night sleep too.  So did Lauren and Craig (ha ha)

Sleeping sweeties

Wow I am really far behind so I'm gonna play catch up.  These were taken back in August.  Luke wanted to take a nap on the floor.  He's got his baby with him.  Lauren is sleeping in her fort.  She still likes to take all that stuff with her to bed not matter where she sleeps.  The bottom two pictures where taken the last night my baby boy slept in his crib.  Big boy bed pictures to come.
