This was our third Easter Egg Hunt, on Easter, at my mom's house. She gave each grandchild their own bucket and they were to find two colors of eggs. Lauren had to find all the yellow and pink eggs. This was a great idea because they had to look for just their colors and it took a little longer and then when they were done they all had the same amount of eggs. Way to go Mom, that teacher brain still works!! We were just happy that it stopped raining for a day so we could do an outdoor hunt.

baby shower game
Sometimes......not very often, but sometimes I come up with great ideas!! My dear friend Amy is having a baby in August and I was put in charge of a game for her shower. One night in the middle of a late night feeding it came to me. Riddles!! So here are all the riddles I came up with. Yes, all on my own in the middle of the night.
What a silly sound I do make when baby likes to shake, shake, shake....I am a ______
Pampers is the name of my group, my purpose is to catch babies poop.....I am ______
Baby needs to wear these, you know, under my clothes is where I go....I am_____
When holding my baby, they have to take turns, you will need this to keep away germs I am __
When your baby is in a hungry mood, you'll want to use this to give her some food I am a ___
Put this on your baby when she makes a mess and stains on her clothes will be less I am a __
Wrap her up tight when she is born, this will help keep her warm.... I am a _____
At bath time, when you get your baby out, use this or she might give a little shout..I am a __
Her outfit will not be complete without these on her feet....I am ______
After the bath, use this if you would, it will make your baby smell really really good...I am ___
When baby's bottom is all kinds of red, take my cap off and spread, spread spread...I am ____
Each guest will have a sheet with these riddles and will be able to look them over and figure them out before the game starts. Amy will have a pile of wrapped boxes with each riddle on top. She will have a chance to guess before she opens it up to see what's inside. The answer to the riddle is inside the box. I will anounce the anwer to the riddles after her shower!!

fruit kabobs
Easter at our house
This was her Easter basket this year. It had all kinds of fun things, jump rope, toothbrush, bubbles, hair ties, lip gloss, books, and of course, candy.
The Easter Bunny had to lay his eggs inside the house this year because it was raining so much. She enjoyed hunting the eggs first thing in the morning. Once we were done she opened each egg and began eating her candy. Craig and I were starting to get our breakfast ready and we asked her what kind of cereal she wanted and she said "I don't need cereal...I have jelly beans"....so she had jelly beans for breakfast.

2 is better that 1......sometimes
Having 2 kids has been a huge adjustment.... one of them always needs something. My days of naps are over because if I can get both of them in their rooms quiet or sleeping which almost never happens, I have a million things to wash, clean or do. When Luke cries, Lauren screams. Lauren is in time out for the 4th time since she has been home and Luke is fussing for no reason. Lauren just spilled milk all over the kitchen floor and Luke just spit up all over the 3rd outfit of the day. When I am feeding Luke, Lauren wants a drink. After I have changed Luke's diaper for the 3rd time in an hour, Lauren has just crapped her pants. I finally get both kids to sleep and I drift off to sleep for maybe a couple of hours, if I'm lucky 4 hours (which has only happened 5 or 6 times). It's 1:30 in the morning, I just finished pumping and feeding Luke, and I am drifting off to sleep again when I hear a little voice "Mommy".....thats when I smack Craig and say "Your turn". I don't know how single parents do it!!! Laundry, dishes, bottle washing, fixing dinner, cleaning up dinner, bathes, and picking up toys is a daily job. I am having a hard enough time keeping up with all the tasks and I'm not working. I don't know how it will all get done when I am working. I guess it just will....or it won't....or I will just go crazy.
But I wouldn't have it any other way....I love my babies!!!

Luke is 2 months
We just had his 2 month appointment. He couldn't get his shots because he had an ear infection....which explains why he hasn't been sleeping and has been extra fussy. He is 10 lbs, 21 inches, and his head is 13 inches around. He is not on the chart for height and head but is in the 7th percentile for weight. He likes to eat!! Even with him being sick he has taken his bottle just fine. He is also nursing a lot more now. He eats 4 oz every 3 hours. He goes to bed between 8 and 9. He gets up usually at 1 and 4 and will sleep until about 7. He is still not on much of a schedule during the day but is alert a lot more often. He is starting to smile a little but is not consistent and he has not started cooing yet. He is sort of close to rolling over....with help. He is so strong and if his arms are probed just right he can squirm just enough to get himself over. He is very cuddley and loves to be held....he likes to be held a little too much.
Ready for spring
We are soooo ready for spring. We have had some nice days and we have had some crappy days. When it is nice we are guarenteed to be outside enjoying it. These pictures were taken a couple of weekends ago when we went out to my sisters house for the morning. They live out in the country by a nice lake. The kids love going down to the beach. It's a little boys heaven. Lauren doesn't like getting dirty but she loves following and watching the boys get dirty.
Fun with friends
