On Saturday night Amy and I decide to swap kids. So I kept Nick over night and Amy kept Lauren. It was nice just having Nick by himself. He has such a personality. We made a fort. Here he is peeking his head out saying "MiMi there is a big monster in here". The other picture is of his belly. He said "Mimi, take a picture of my body...this was just a few minutes after he was in the bathroom telling me... "look MiMi, I pooped a big log". Today Jay spent the day with Lauren and I. He is so good with her. They read together and play together so nicely. I made playdough for them... Laurn ate it and Jay ran over it with his cars. We had a great day. I am so lucky to have such sweet boys in my life. And I enjoy every minute I spend with them.

Our Weekend

It was so nice this weekend. We decided to paint our living room and Kitchen. It was a big job but with the help of my brother-in-law, Mike, and Craig it was successful. Lauren and I decided to hang out with her cousins all weekend, so that we would be out of the way. We went to the discovery museum. The kids had fun until Nick pushed Lauren out of the truck and she bit her lip, but Jay came to the rescue and Nick said, as only Nick can say, "Sorry wowen will you forgive me!". We played outside a lot. The kids had fun cruzin in their barbie jeep and jumping on the trampoline. We were able to get the whole house put back together by Sunday afternoon. We will hopefully be putting up new trim in the next few weeks. It will feel like I have a brand new house. Pretty soon it will be time to clean up my white trash back yard...yuck! Enjoy the nice weather while we can because you know that next week we will probably be back to our crappy mid-west weather

Craig studying and a trip to the park

Craig is still working on his masters. He is not done unil Dec. 2010. I am very ready for him to be done. He does a nice job of balancing it all.... school, work, and Lauren.

Last Friday it was actually nice out. It felt like spring. We went to the park. It was so much fun. Lauren is very busy I had to do a lot of chasing. It was nice to put her in the swing that way she was contained.

Nana's Birthday

Last Saturday we celebrated my mom's birthday out at my sister's house. Lauren wore her cute little heart dress that Nana picked out specially for her. We ate great food. My grandparents, my mom's best friend and her husband were all there. The kids played. It is so cute Jay (my older nephew) is so good with Lauren he helps her, plays nice with her, genuinely loves her and likes spending time with her.... Nick on the other hand doesn't really help her, doesn't like to play with her, tries to tolerate her, and gets really upset when she touches anything he doesn't want her to. I find it kind of amusing. We had a great time. Happy Birthday Mom!!

Lauren has twin boyfriends! Dylan (pushing Lauren) and Luke (eating with Lauren). They were born a month prior to Lauren and they were all together in the NICU. They were 28 weekers also and weighed 2 lbs 8 ounce and 2 lbs 10 ounces. Last year at this time when we were on maternity leave we would get together with our tiny babies every week. Usually that consisted of Amy and I chatting and eating and the babies sleeping. Well now that they're all one and very healthy and very busy it consists of Amy and I maybe finishing a sentence, barely eating, and making sure someone is not biting someone else or pulling someones hair. We all have a ball together! They are such sweet little miracles and it has been so much fun watching them grow.
