Early January we decided to put our house on the market. It was a process getting it ready, replacing all 3 closet doors in our bedroom, all new carpet upstairs, all new trim throughout, newly remodeled bathroom, and then there was the decluttering part! I got rid of soooooo much stuff. I sold a lot and sent a lot to good will. It took about 4-5 weeks of really hard work. And we were still working full time and our 2 little ones were under our feet the whole time. Once we decided to sell we were also looking at houses. Which at first was fun but with a 3 year old and a 6 year old it was not so much fun especially the time Luke pooped his pants at an open house. It dripped down his pant leg and onto the white carpet....we got out of there quick and no we did not buy that one! Oh and I did clean it up first we are classy we don't just dump and ditch!! And the time we went to a showing and both kids were playing in the bathtub of an occupied house...I know they usually clean up before showing but still gross. But even grosser one house we went through had a little girl about Lauren's age. The reason I know this is because Lauren went into her closet and held up some dirty barbie underwear and said "look mom I have these same ones". We tried to line several up on a Saturday or and evening and get babysitters. We had a babysitter the night we found the house we bought! I won't go into all the politics of selling and buying a house or the house that we almost bought and fell through or the buyer of our house yanking us back and forth or the sale almost falling through at the closing because I really just want to block it all out. It was a horrible experience from start to finish. It was a very stressful time in our lives and I don't ever want to do it again. Now that being said I am so happy we did it. I love our new house. We have been here a month and I am enjoying a stress-free summer. I mean the kids are kind of stressful but ya have that!
