Church Easter Egg Hunt

This year our church Easter Egg Hunt was on St Patrick's Day.  We always sing some songs before it is time to hunt.  Lauren wanted to help Luke hunt this year.
This picture cracks me up because Luke looks like a drunk Irishmen.  He was really diggin this hat.

Craig was really thrilled to be with us.  Both kids insisted on sitting on his lap the whole time, which also thrilled him.  He was missing a basketball game so he gets props  for coming.  Thanks Daddy.

Luke grabbed a few right away but lost interest pretty quick and then just wanted to open them.
Lauren was picking up tons as fast as she could.  We had to tell her to stop because she was with all the little kids.
Candy time!   This was Luke's favorite part.  By the end he had big Chocolate grool marks all down his face.

Look what we've been up to!!

My kids are 2 and 5 so I decided I needed to start doing some fun family activities at home to keep us from watching too much TV and to help us grow developmentally.  So we did some shaving cream art, made homemade bath paints, and had a picnic.  The shaving cream art took me 10 minutes to set up and clean up and it took Luke 2 minutes to take off running with shaving cream flying from all parts of his body.  Note to self....... shaving cream art should only be done in the bath tub.  The bath paints were great.  A friend gave me the recipe from pintest:  1 cup baby wash 4 TB corn starch.  Mix in muffin tin then add food coloring.  I doubled the recipe, which I did not need to.  This was great I will do this one again.  Both kids loved it.  The water became a very gross brown but we had fun.  Lauren loves picnics.  We hadn't had one for a while because Luke needs to be strapped into his seat because he doesn't stay seated and he is very messy.  We had food that wasn't very messy so I thought we could try it.  Luke only got up from his meal 5 times.   Looks like we are not getting out of the high chair any time soon.  The last picture is their usual activity.....cuddling with each other under their blankets.

Parent's day

Lauren is in K4 at Calvery.  Every year they have a Parent's day.  Craig did not get to go this year because he started a new job so I represented us both.  I got to go to her classroom and watch her learn.  She also presented me with a really nice gift.  It was a tile that said "Let me give you a hand" and it had her hand prints.  It had a holder too and was to be used like a dry erase board.  We went to the church and they put on a little program for us.  It was so cute.  Lauren has learned so much this year and I am so proud of her.

Sleepy heads

There's nothing sweeter than sleeping children.  Notice Luke's baby.  He has to have baby every night and she has to be placed perfectly on his turtle pillow. He has two pillow pets and three ba's (his pacifier).  He is almost as bad as Lauren with all the stuff in his bed.   She has a queen size bed and it is always full of stuff.  Love, love, love these two precious little angels.
