Egg Hunt

Last year I enjoyed watching Lauren hunt for eggs but as she gets older it is so much more fun. She caught on to it so much quicker and loved finding one and then another. She loved looking to see what was inside. Daddy did a good job of hiding them....we really had to look for them.

"Look mommy another one"

"I pound it I pound it" "It's a purple one"

discovery museum

We had a fun family trip to the children's discovery museum over spring break. It is so fun when I take Lauren here because I am so used to taking the boys who love the tractors, the water, and running from one cool thing to the next. Not Lauren she loved playing with the train, loved painting and drawing and was scared to death of the tractor and anything that made any kind of strange noise.

Nursing Home Fun

If you can't laugh about the struggles in life what can you laugh about right so I am dedicating this blog to all those special people in my life who have spent some time in a nursing home. My great grandma who lived to be 101 lived in a nursing home for 10 years, my other great grandma who lived in a nursing home for a short time before she died, my dad who has now, at age 60, permanently been placed in a nursing home, and my grandma who is age 87 and now in a nursing home.......that's a heck of a lot of denture cream, surgical socks, and depends.

This was our trip to Sterling, over spring break, to visit my grandma in the nursing home. The kids were really good....to amuse themselves they paced the halls and pretended to be asleep on the extra bed in her room.

It is sad to see people not be able to take care of themselves anymore but I am very glad that we have places where good, professional, and caring people can help.....so thank you to anyone who has ever worked at a nursing home....we truly appreciate everything you do....and I mean everything!

Spring Break Fun

Jay spent a day with us over spring break and we painted, played with play dough, and played outside. We had a great time. At one point Lauren was using her water color paint to paint her nails.

I was so glad it was nice enough to spend some time outside. Notice the tractor in the background this is the bes $4 buck I have ever spent....It was Jay's favorite thing ever, Nick's favorite thing ever, and now Lauren loves to ride it.
