Summer fun

This summer has probably been one of the best summer's I have ever had. I have enjoyed my time with Lauren so much. I am truly grateful for the time that I get off. I feel like I am the luckiest person in the world...I am relaxed, busy, having fun, swimming, cleaning, enjoying family and friends, cooking, taking walks, bike riding, playing at the park, watching tv, and napping...and I am still getting paid. Remind of how happy I am right not in about 6 weeks when I am stressed, crazy, and tired. I know you are not suppose to brag about your children...it's tacky... but it is my blog...my little girl is soooo cute and has the cutest personality too.

4th of July

Well as you can see from the pictures we were a little white trashy on the 4th. It was raining the entire day. We had a garage party instead of a pool party. The weather was horrible but we had a great time. We had lots of friends and family there. Im a sucker for a man holding a baby I had to get a picture of Matt (my friend Brooke's boyfriend) with Lauren. She kept wanting him to hold her and she doesn't usually go to other people so I thought it was cute. And I had to get a picture of my man holding a baby. This is Ava my friend Stephanie and Travis's little baby she is about 6 weeks old. She is such a good baby and so cute too. Hopefully next year the weather will be better for the 4th but even if its not it is still fun to spend time with the ones we love.

family reunions!

We went to Craig's family reunion a couple of weeks ago. It was for Craig's mom's side of the family. It was in Bement..which is by Champaign. It was a beautiful day and there was good food and lots of people so Lauren had a great time. The first picture is of Lauren on the see-saw with poppy. And the second picture is of Lauren with her Great Grandma Jo. It's nice to live close to family so we can particpate in these family events.

My family reunion was probably 3 weeks ago. Everyone came here to Bloomington to Statefarm Park. My mom has 2 brothers Rod married to Joan and Mike married to Kathy. Amy and I have 4 cousins and all but one cousin was there along with my grandparents who turned 80. My cousin Amber has Kaylie who is 3, My cousin Cora has two step children Hailey (13)and Quinton (11), and two other children Carter (2) and Kylee (8). My cousin Adam has a little boy Aalin (2). And of course Jay, Nick, and Lauren were there. We had a great time. The weather wasn't the best but it wasn't horrible. We swam all day. Everyone in my family loves the water!!

Fun with friends

The best part about summer is spending more time with friends. The top picture is of Lauren and Aniston (my teacher friend Renae's little girl). I am teaching swim lessons every tuesday morning. It's a mommy and me class. We have a lot of fun...Aniston and Lauren love the water. The next picture is of Lauren and Cade (my friend Annie's little boy). Lauren and Cade are almost the exact same age. They are pretty cute together except when they are not sharing....or looking at the camera. It is so hard to get a good picture at this age. The middle picture is of Lauren's dog friends...Baxter and Coal (Coal is my friend Brooke's dog). I couldn't get the picture in time but they were all three licking the same pudding pop...gross. Lauren loves dogs...but only dogs her size. Big dogs are too much for her. The last two pictures are from when my friend Lindsay came to visit. She and I have been friends since the 3rd grade so it so fun getting together now with our kids. It makes us feel so grown up. Wow how time does fly. Her little boy Ryan is around 8 months now. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer....I know I am enjoying mine!!

Nick and Lauren...not best buds but improving

Nick has always struggled with liking Lauren but he is doing a lot better lately. He is saying "Woren don't touch that" a lot less and "Here Woren you can have this" a little more. They actually enjoyed a moment laughing and playing the other night in the bath tub.

I have so enjoyed watching Lauren and Jays relationship grow. Jay is so sweet and good to her. Her little protector. He is patient and plays with her and helps her. And Lauren thinks Jay is the best ever. She actually screams with excitement when she sees him. I hope they will always be this close.

Happy Father's Day

This is a little late but I have been a little behind in my blogging. Better late then never.
We had a cookout and pool party last Saturday for Father's day and then Sunday morning we went out for breakfast with Craig's family. Lauren is so lucky to have such a great dad. She is a daddy's girl's and Craig is so good with her and patient. I love watching them together. We thought it would be cute to do a 3 generation picture with Lauren, Craig and his dad. So we had Lauren sit on Craig's lap and Craig sit on Glenn's lap. Lauren is twice as lucky because not only does she have the best dad in the world she's got a really great grandpa (poppy).
