Visiting Baby Ryan

A couple weeks ago Lauren and I went to visit my friend Lindsay in Lockport. She has a little boy, Ryan, who just turned a year old in November. We had so much fun. The kids played so nice and had so much fun.

They rode around in this car together for quite a while.

Ryan isn't quite walking yet...but he did take several steps that day trying to keep up with Lauren.

Ever since we got home Lauren has named her purple Madam Alexander doll "baby Ryan"

This is Jay getting ready to win his 3rd pine wood derby race.

This is Lauren saying "cheese". She did pretty good watching her cousin...most of the time she just wanted to run around the bleachers.

This is my handsome little cub scout. He is so grown up. He was very excited because his second grade teacher came to watch him race. His car was so cool.

This is my sweet little Nick. He was happy just running around the bleachers too. He does a good job of trying to keep up with the big boys.

Singing

You will have to bear with me on this video. When I am filming her she wants to be on my lap and watch whats happening from my side. So you may get a little dizzy but I want to make sure I got her singing her two favorite songs...it's pretty cute.

She also refers to her favorite color being green....it's the only color she knows.

In the video I try to get her to say "my goodness".....and she kind of does. Whenever she is excited about something she says it..it's so funny.

Another funny thing that happened today was I was putting her to bed and I asked her if she wanted to have a brother or a sister...and she said a kitty!!

I am itching to have another baby but we are not planning on trying until the summer for any of you who were wondering about my question.

Happy New Year

This is only a month over due!! I just realized I hadn't posted my new years pictures! Haha

We went over to Annie and Steves. Lauren actually made it until 11:30. She loved drinking her bubbly! (sparkling grape juice of course). Hope all of you are off to very happy new year.

snow day

Lauren was more interested in her gloves than the snow. She liked it at first but once it started getting deep she wanted me to carry her.

It's days like this that I love my job!!! Althougth I won't be saying that in may!!

Ice skating

We went ice skating after christmas. Word of advise.....don't ever take 2 year old ice skating!!
Lauren is really cordinated and has great balance so I thought we should try it. We were doing pretty good at first, I was holding her hands and we were moving very slowly but we were moving and she loved it. Then my back started to hurt from bending over and then she started getting tired so I picked her up and the guy that worked there said we couldn't do that so I put her down and she was upset because she didn't want to do any of the work any more she wanted me to hold her and skate so she threw a horrible fit...which is not like her. So I took her out to take her skates off and she proceeded to cry and run away from me she hit a glass wall and fell to the floor while everyone stared at us.

Maybe we will try it again when she is 3 we are taking daddy with us next time.

christmas fun

We had so much fun at christmas this year. The kids got pillow pets, dolls, trucks, and clothes. Amy and I were were extra excited about our surprise gift from mom...uggs!! We spent christmas eve with my mom and sister and then went to church and had dinner with Amy's in-laws, my in-laws, and my good friends Stephanie and Travis and ABA of course.

Jay didn't get out of school until the 22 which was nice for me because I was off work and could go see him. He looks so cute in his glasses.

We celebrated christmas with craig's brother and his kids the weekend before christmas. Lauren loves hanging with all of her big cousins.
